OUR WRESTLING ROOM
DISTRICT WRESTLING HQ
L'Enfant Plaza Concourse, Suite 702B

By Metro
We are located directly above the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station (Green, Yellow, Blue, Orange and Silver Lines). Exit the platform via Exit C. Take the escalator up to the Plaza, enter through the first set of glass doors, proceed down the hallway and make the first right. The wrestling room will be on your left.

By Bike or Foot
Navigate to the Hilton National Mall/The Wharf. Enter the hotel via the main entrance (the International Spy Museum will be behind you). Immediately to your left is a set of stairs leading down to the L'Enfant Plaza Concourse. Our room is directly across the hall when you get to the bottom.

By Car
There is usually ample street parking on D Street SW between 9th and 10th Street SW. Enter L'enfant Plaza via a short set of stairs on D Street. Proceed down the hall, then make a left when you get to the center food court. Our room will be on the right, 3 doors down.

OUR HISTORY

June 2024
District Wrestling officially launches during Pride Weekend. Our first practice is held on June 10 at Ballou High School, a public school located in Southeast DC. The head coach of their school's wrestling team – Mark McGowan — helps us get off the ground in these first few months.
January 2025
We host our very first tournament – but not in D.C. We are the official hosts of the 2025 Sin City Classic in Las Vegas, stepping in for our partners at Wrestling Without Borders.
April 2025
District Wrestling moves into our new space in L'Enfant Plaza. The new, easily accessible location triggers a big uptick in membership. We add a second day of practice as a result.
June 2025
We host our first home tournament, the Grapple in the Capital. More than 40 wrestlers from around the country travel to DC for a weekend of wrestling. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive, and Grapple in the Capital becomes our biggest annual event. The 2026 edition is coming in October.
