Requirements
Get Mat Ready.
In order to participate in District Wrestling practices and events, we require athletes to adhere to a set of rules and a Code of Conduct. These are in place both for the safety and comfort of our members and the security of the club itself. If any member is found to be in violation of these rules, they will be barred from any further participation indefinitely.
USA Wrestling Membership
Wrestling Shoes
All club members must have an active USA Wrestling membership in order to wrestle at any practice or other sanctioned District Wrestling event. USAW memberships provide additional insurance coverage for the club & its members, as well as access to other resources like training videos and their digital magazine.

Memberships are annual and run from Sept. 1-Aug. 31 each year. They can be purchased for $65 by visiting USAWmembership.com. As part of the enrollment process, all members will complete a free SafeSport certification as well.
All wrestlers are strongly encouraged to wear wrestling shoes during practices, and are required at sanctioned District Wrestling events. Shoes can be purchased cheaply on Amazon or Dick's Sporting Goods.
Singlets or Gym Clothes
All wrestlers must wear gym clothes (shorts or sweatpants, t-shirts, rash guards, etc.) or a singlet during practices. For health and safety reasons, we don’t permit wrestlers to go shirtless.
CODE of CONDUCT
Everyone who attends a District Wrestling practice, open mat, competition, social activity or any other event must adhere to our Code of Conduct.
Respect and Integrity
Treat all fellow DWC club members with respect, courtesy, and consideration, regardless of differences in background, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political beliefs, sexual identity, gender identity, experience level, or physical ability.
Safety and Well-Being
Any unwanted, overly aggressive or dangerous behavior — including but not limited to sexual harassment or abuse, physical or emotional bullying, intimidation, and intentional physical harm — will not be tolerated.
Fair Play
Play by the rules, follow instructions from coaches and officials, and compete/practice fairly and honestly without cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct.
