WHAT IS A MAT GALA?

First hosted in 2025 during World Pride, our Mat Galas are events hosted at our partner and sponsor bars that bring together our members, friends of the club, and the general public for wrestling-themed parties and social nights. It's your chance to showcase your favorite singlet, your most prized lucha mask, or any other wrestling gear you wish you could rock off the mats too. Do us and your sparring partners a favor though: don't wear your wrestling shoes into a bar.

MAT GALA GROUND RULES

ADULTS ONLY

All of our Mat Galas are hosted at bars — so nobody under 21 allowed! Not of age? Don't fret, we've got plenty of other social events during the year that are open to people of all ages.

WEAR WHAT YOU WANT

Yes these are wrestling-themed, no you don't need to dress the part. Come in jeans and a t-shirt, come in a singlet and headgear, come in a tuxedo for all we care (But if you do come in a tuxedo, your first drink is on us).

QUEER FORWARD

Like everything else we host, our Mat Galas are queer-friendly. But unlike other events, our Mat Galas are held at explicitly LGBTQ venues. All are always welcome, but please respect good gay bar etiquette.
