District Wrestling Named DC's Best Recreational Sports League

Every year, Washington City Paper puts out their Best of DC list, a comprehensive guide to the best food, culture, activities, organizations, institutions, and service providers the greater DC area has to offer.

Thanks to reader support, District Wrestling Club was named the Best Recreational Sports League in this year's edition, beating out some of the city's largest and most established sports clubs and leagues for the distinction.

We are obviously thrilled and honored, but more than anything we are proud of the implication: that we've built a club where our members come first. Wrestling is not an easy sport to practice and compete in, especially as a beginner. By prioritizing inclusivity and tolerance as much as competition and fitness, we've made District Wrestling a place where anyone and everyone can engage with the sport.
